Vengeance in the Valley - July 14th, 2012

Spokane School of Boxing & MMA - Spokane Valley, Washington

The fans packed it in on a hot and steamy night at the School of Boxing & MMA (SOBMMA) in Spokane Valley WA for Vengeance in the Valley 18. 15 amateur MMA bouts were contested in front of the raucous crowd and there was plenty to cheer for. The Main event was a title fight for the 170 lb Championship belt and featured a young Chris Crum out of Team Unleashed taking on 49 year old Ken "Taz" Bebout. Crum had Bebout in trouble on a couple of occasions but Bebout fought through and got a submission of his own, finishing the fight in the 2nd round!

The Co-main event for the 155 lb title was won by a tough George De La Rosa fighting out of SOBMMA who finished Ironman MMA's Travis Wickline via a 2nd round TKO.

The 145 lb Interim Title was up for grabs and it was Independent Skyler Bonner who walked out with the belt by subbing Ironman's Eric Cronkhite with a Rear Naked Choke in the first round.

One of the best bouts of the night was the battle between CANUSA's John Bennett taking on debuting Indpendent fighter Sam Bonner. These guys battled back and forth with Bennett looking like he was about to finish Bonner in the 2nd, but Bonner turned the tables and took out Bennett with a fight-ending guillotine choke.

The weigh-ins for the fights were held on Friday at the Marquee Lounge in Spokane and were lots of fun with the Hood Revenue Girls on hand.

The next Vengeance in the Valley is set for Saturday, August 25th.
