Vengeance in the Valley 27 went down January 11th at the Spokane School of Boxing & MMA in Spokane Valley, with 6 amateur MMA bouts and 1 grappling exhibition. UFC fighter Cody McKenzie was in the house as one of the night's judges and spoke to the crowd during intermission, as did rising stars Dave Courchaine and Ryan Mulvihill.

In the main event, SOBMMA's Jesse Jacobsen got taken down early and ate a couple shots from independent fighter Matt Schmoyer, but Jacobsen quickly grabbed an arm and secured the armbar submission just 35 seconds into the round.

Fight of the Night went to a pair of young atomweights in Korey Hickson and Orlando Pileado who threw down for nearly three rounds before Hickson was able to get the TKO finish.

KO of the Night came from Warrior Camp's Dusty Wetzler making his amatuer debut. A straight jab, a kick to the body, a right, a left, and then a final big right hand was all it took to send Floyd Countryman to the canvas, with the ref stepping in and calling an end the contest at 18 seconds of the first round.

The other three MMA bouts all saw submission finishes: Paul Polignoni subbed Nathan Polhill with a 1st round guillotine choke; Brent McNeil got Matt Main to tap to a 1st round rear naked choke; and Jake Tiffany executed a slick 2nd round triangle choke to finish Dantae Billings. There was also an entertaining grappling exhibition between Donald Gouge and Cody Roy, won by Gouge in overtime via the first takedown.
