United Combat Sports returned to Spirit Mountain Casino July 14th with "Caged Combat 6" featuring 6 amateur and 4 pro fights, including 2 pro title bouts to cap the night. The main event was for the UCS 155 lb title and had veteran fighter John "Guns" Gunderson return home to Oregon riding a hot streak after felling UFC vets Justin Buccholz and Karo Parisyan earlier this year. He took on rising star David Castillo who looked to play the spoiler. The first three rounds were razor close with lots of action on the ground as both fighters pressed for finishes. The 4th round however was all Castillo who got top position and rained down elbows, forcing Gunderson to give up his back and tap to a RNC choke for the win at 3:30 in.

The co-main event was for the UCS Women's Pro 110 lb title and had United Training Center's Lisa Ward Ellis take on Idaho fighter Amy Davis. At the bell, Ellis took the fight to the ground and worked her magic, finally catching Davis in a fight-ending armbar at 2:16 of the first. In other pro action, NWMA's Emmanual Sanchez subbed Travis Johnson in the 1st rd of 155 lb matchup, and Team Chaos' Matt Slosser edged Montana fighter Delane Lamere via Split Decision in a 145 lb contest.
