Tycen Lynn throws down en route to capturing the COGA Amateur 130lb Title

Combat Games MMA crafted a monster 14-bout fight card for their July 31 2015 Rumble on the Ridge XXXII show at the Snoqualmie Casino. In the Rumble on the Ridge XXXII main event, Yakima MMA’s Eduardo Torres went up against late replacement Omar Avelar in a pro 135 lb clash. Torres came out, using hard kicks to keep the brawling Avelar at distance. Avelar got in a few licks, but Torres closed distance and took Avelar to the ground, laying down elbows before finishing via choke at 2:23 round 1.

In the co-main event, Taki Uluilakepa of The Legion looked impressive in his pro 170 lb fight with Nick Coughran, utilizing a varied striking attack to wear down the Team Hard Knox fighter. The end came with Uluilakepa teeing off as Coughran covered against the cage, forcing a referee stoppage at 3:20 of the 2nd round.

In a pro 145 lb contest, Ikaika Tampos grabbed hold of Paul Njoku’s left ankle, getting Njoku to tap to heel hook submission at 1:48 of the first round.

Combat Sport and Fitness fighter Shane Friesz moved to 3-0 as a pro by taking Independent Shane Sargent to the mat and finishing via strikes at 1:52 of the first in their pro 135 lb bout.

Kody Hammond of Rose City FC won his pro debut in a lightweight contest with Ryan Schecterson, securing an armbar of Schecterson at 3:05 of the first round.

Rob Burgess won his pro debut by way of standing guillotine choke of Imad Khan in their middleweight contest.

In a pro 130 lb catchweight bout, Team Execution fighter Mark Coates submitted Jon Marc Cortez via rear naked choke at 4:08 of the first round. Coates moves to 3-0 with the victory.

White Buffalo Warriors’ Johnson Nasona won the COGA Amateur Featherweight Championship by impressively submitting Chimera MMA’s Jason Ellis via armbar at 3:05 of the first round.

Amateur middleweight Navi Dhaliwal with Team Black Mamba scored a 2nd round TKO victory over Team Hard Knox fighter Dominique Smith.

C3’s Tycen Lynn and CSF’s Sean Williams engaged in a five round battle for the COGA Amateur 130 lb strap, with Lynn looking sharp throughout in outpointing a durable Williams. After 5 rounds of action, Lynn was awarded the judges decision 50-45, 50-45, 50-44.

Team Hard Knox fighter Wyatt Gustason punished Kash Raymond in the first round of their 225 lb amateur bout and won the fight via TKO when Raymond’s corner stopped the fight before the 2nd round began.

The Legion’s Sergio Ulloa moved to 5-1 as an amateur earning a well-deserved unanimous decision (30-27 x3) over Fay Bursell in a welterweight matchup.

In an amateur 160 lb fight, David Purnell Jr took home the W via 3rd round rear naked choke of Michael Hannigan

AKA’s Randa Zarza opened the fights with a bang, dropping Jonathan Norris with a big right in the first round and finishing with strikes on the ground at the 1:32 mark in their amateur heavyweight bout.
