Main Event winner and COGA 185 lb Interim Champion Jorge Moreno

Combat Games MMA returned to the Snoqualmie Casino on Friday April 17th 2015 with Rumble on the Ridge 31. A packed house of NW MMA fans were on hand for the 5 pro and 5 amateur MMA contests, with a main event featuring Combat Sport & Fitness fighter Ian Williams taking on Irish HIt Squad's Jorge Moreno for the COGA Interim 185 lb Title. At the bell, Moreno moved forward with punches to get in close on Williams, where he worked for and eventually got a takedown against the cage. Moreno began to drop in some big bombs that were finding their target. Williams looked to escape but unfortunately his knee popped out and he tapped to the injury at 3:26 of the first round. Moreno gets the win and remains undefeated at 4-0 as a pro.

The Rumble on the Ridge 31 Co-main Event was in the women’s 105 lb weight class and featured Team Mean MMA’s Julia “Jewels” Jones putting her undefeated record on the line against experienced Colorado fighter “Dynanmite” Diana Rael. The first round was a closely fought standup battle with both fighters slinging leather and landing kicks. In the 2nd, the fight went to the canvas where Jones took over, punishing Rael with ground and pound before sinking a rear naked choke at 3 minutes into the round. Jones moves to 3 and 0 as pro with the win.

CSF’s Albert Tadevosyan was all business in his pro 170 lb matchup with Team Body Pro’s Chris Evans. A nice takedown by Tadevosyan led to a punishing ground and pound attack with big punches and elbows, forcing a ref stopage in the first round. Tadevosyan moves to 5-0-1 with the win.

NW Elite’s Nick Coughran came out with his fists flying, overwhelming Frankie Orr to get a verbal tap to strikes in the first round of their pro 170 lb matchup.

Undefeated Shane Friesz of CSF earned his 2nd pro win by choking out Mario Ortiz with a standing guillotine choke in round one.

Joey Pierotti out of Combat Sport & Fitness won the COGA Amateur Welterweight Title via 1st round arm triangle submission of Orcas Island FC’s Andy Nigretto.

In the amateur 135 lb weight class, Charlie’s Combat Club fighter Tycen Lynn moved to 8-1 as an amateur via unanimous decision (30-27 x2, 30-26) over Rodney Kealohi.

A solid MMA battle took place between Byron Fernandus Jr and Shawn Eastman, and after 9 minutes of action, all three judges scored the bout for Fernandus Jr 30-27.

Shelby Miller repping Big Will's Gym and Rose City FC’s Kristen Maaranen went 3 rounds toe-to-to in an excellent amateur 125 lb fight. It went to the judges who saw it for Miler 30-27, 30-27, 29-28

Base Fitmass MMA’s Jonathan Norris submitted William Miller with an arm triangle choke at just 36 seconds into their amateur heavyweight bout.
