The Revolution 07.12.08 - July 12th, 2008

The Revolution 07.12.08 had over 225 athletes competing in BJJ and Submission Grappling from 50+ schools & fight clubs from around the NW, with at least 100 athletes competing in both Gi and No-Gi divisions.

 

There were team points awarded for the first time and the Team Combined Overall trophy (Gi+No-Gi) went to Gracie Barra Seattle. Gracie Barra also won the Team Gi award and BJJ of Olympia won the Team NoGi award.

The Vicious Fightgear prize ($50 + a cool trophy!) for fastest submission in Gi went to Patrick Jung and in No-Gi went to Addison Franks, both out of Bellingham's West Coast Fight Club. Other cool sponsors that made the event possible included Rockstar Energy Drinks, Gameness Kimonos, Super Supplements, Kaduku Clothing, Jamba Juice, and Lockflow.

The Liberty Events crew have outdone themselves again and the BJJ/Grappling Community in the Northwest have a true gem in this ongoing tournament. The next Revolution 11.08.08 will happen November 8th in the Seattle area at a site to be determined.
