The FCFF held their 65th installment of the long running Rumble at the Roseland amatuer MMA series on Sat Aug 25th and once again it was a monster night of fight action. 20 bouts in total took place, including 3 title fights and a superfight. In the main event for the FCFF's Women's 125 lb Title, Alive MMA's Emily Corso submitted Rise Above's Emily Whitmire with a 2nd round armbar to become the new champion. The Middleweight Championship belt went to Gladiator MMA's Jake Smith who eeked out a split decision win over John Garcia. The KO of the night went to Alex Corrales out of Bend OR who sucessfully defended his 125 lb belt with a knockout of Impact JJ's Brian Tsutsumi at just 17 seconds into their fight. And in a 145 lb Superfight, Ricky Simon of Gladiator MMA outworked The Octagon's Damon Jordan over 3 rounds for the unanimous decision win.
The FCFF's next event is Rumble at the Roseland 66 happening back at The Roseland Theater in Portland on September 29th. The main event will feature a very special double weight class Championship bout as current Heavyweight Champ Nick Biron takes on current 205 lb Champ Jeremy Morse, with the winner taking home both belts. Also on the card will be Sean Soliz defending his 145 lb title against Justin Mark, and John Bartlett versus Kyle Ellsworth in a Welterweight Superfight. More info at thefcff.com.
