Four Emotionally Charged Championship Fights on December 3

Portland, OR - On Saturday, December 3rd the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) is back in Portland, Oregon to host the 60th installment of "Rumble @ The Roseland," the Northwest's premier cage fighting event. The doors open at the Roseland Theater at 6pm with the fights beginning at 7pm. There are four highly charged Title fights in the Heavyweight, Welterweight, Lightweight and Flyweight Divisions and one FCFF 185-pound Superfight. Rumble @ The Roseland 60 is all about second chances. Get tickets at www.ticketswest.com or Safeway tickets west locations.

The Welterweight Championship Fight brings two fan favorites together on Saturday, December 3rd. Jason Novelli of Team Quest in Portland, Oregon gets a second chance - he will make attempt number two at earning the FCFF Welterweight belt. In his first try he fought against Ben Egli and lost for the vacant belt at Rumble @ The Roseland 57. Novelli is a former boxer in the "rough-house" system in Alaska carried a 35-7 record and a Middleweight Title in the ring. He moved to the "cage" (mma) after his move to the Northwest and currently trains at Team Quest. Novelli has beat many notable fighters like Nathan Orchards (Decision Victory at Caged on the Coast 4) and Alex Jordan (TKO Round 1 Rumble 56). "MMA is where I always wanted to be. You can truly test your skill, strength, heart, and mind. I felt boxing was too regulated, and not real enough," said Novelli. He most recently fought in Portland for the Dirty Boxer Promotion show as the Main event and earned a TKO victory in the second round over Jason Monroy.

Novelli will face local hero Billy Denney. In November, Billy Denney (7-3) was on the news:
"Two Eugene men hailed as heroes after breaking up armed robbery in Los Angeles." Denney grabbed a man with a semiautomatic handgun as he was leaving, after robbing the hotel and held him with his mma travel partner until the police arrive. Denney was in LA to compete in the Worlds no-gi jiu-jitsu tournament, where he earned an impressive third place finish. "I am happy to bring attention to the martial arts particularly MMA and Jiu-jitsu in a positive way though I don't consider what happened anything more than an act of good Samaritan-ism," said Denney. Rumble @ The Roseland 60 brings Denney a second chance at the 170-pound Championship; He had an emotional round three tapout loss to Ben Egli, the same man who took the belt from Novelli. "I got careless in the last round leading to an armbar and losing the title fight," said Denney. The FCFF 170-pound Championship is "do or die" for both men.

The Rumble @ The Roseland 60 Main Event bring the "big guys" back to the cage for the FCFF Heavyweight Championship. Chris DeLaRocha, the current FCFF Champ will attempt his first Title defense against the undefeated Dylan Clark (4-0) on Saturday, December 3rd. DeLaRocha first won the belt on May 21st 2011 at Rumble @ The Roseland 57. There he defeated FCFF Veteran Damion Martindale via TKO in round number two, due to strikes. "Chris was really considered an underdog in his fight against Damion. Damion has fought a lot of guys and has a long history in Wrestling. In 1997 he faced Broc Lesner in a tournament and won," said Kevin Keeney, FCFF owner and matchmaker, "When Chris beat Damion it turned heads in the Heavyweight Division." It's been about six months since DeLaRocha took the FCFF Heavyweight Title, he's been training at Progressive Jiu-jitsu in Vancouver, SportsLab in Portland and 2-3 days conditioning at Absolute Fitness in Camas, WA. A former high School wrestler and baseball player, DeLaRocha brings a natural athleticism to the cage most big guys struggle with. Previous to winning the FCFF Title he also beat Rico Martinez in only thirty seconds of round number one via TKO due to strikes at Rumble 55. DeLaRocha also won the 2010 Police and Fire Olympics Boxing Tournament.

There are two more Championship fights on the Card at Rumble @ The Roseland 60. First in the 125-pound Flyweight Division undisputed FCFF Title Holder David Converse will face Jeff Alden of Portland, Oregon. Converse first won the FCFF Flyweight Championship at Rumble @ The Roseland 58 on July 16th. There he defeated Shaun Nance in only round number one, due to a tapout victory via armbar. He got right back into the cage at the next event (Rumble @ The Roseland 59) and beat the ultra-tough Alex Corrales via Unanimous Decision victory. "David is ready to go, this will be his third event straight at the Roseland Theater and he has been just dominating the 125-pound division of the FCFF." Converse's competition: Jeff Alden is a fan favorite and brother to John Alden, the former FCFF Featherweight Champion.

[UPDATE: David Converse had to pull out of the fight due to an injury. Alex Corrales has replaced him and will fight Jeff Alden for the Interim 125 lb Title]

Last but not least, the FCFF's 155-pound Lightweight Championship belt is up for grabs between Ryan Truitt and Will Hill on the Rumble 60 Fight Card. This fight could steal "fight of the night credits," said Keeney. Will Hill (5-2) not only trains at Team Quest in Gresham, but is also a coach. He most recently fought at Sportfight 30: Limitless on October 22nd 2011 and won via KO in only 58 seconds of round number one. In FCFF competition he last fought at Rumble 55 and defeated Jesse Peacock in round number one via tapout due to strikes. In addition to fighting and coaching in MMA Will Hill also owns a clothing company called Oregon Grown Designs:

To add to an already "action packed" night for Rumble 60 there is a 185-pound Superfight on the Card! Nathan Allen of Team Quest will face Brysen French of Impact JJ in Middleweight Division. French has entered FCFF competition with a force in 2011. At Caged on the Coast 6 on November 5th 2011 he defeated Brian Thompson via armbar in only one minute and eight seconds of round number one. At Rumble @ The Roseland 59 on September 24th he defeated Connor Carron, also in round number one via TKO. "Brysen came out of nowhere to be a major threat in the 185-pound division. If he wins this Superfight there could be bring big things ahead for him in mma," said Keeney. Allen of Team Quest is coming off a small hiatus, with his last fight for the FCFF taking place on November 6th 2010 at Caged on the Coast 3. There he beat Eli Peterson via Rear Naked Choke in round number three. "Even though Nathan is coming off a year break from fighting in the FCFF he was on an impressive winning streak in 2009-2010 beating guys like Lee Flores and Joe-Kyle Werner," said Keeney.
