Five Fighters to Watch on Saturday, September 30th at Rumble 94

Press Release from The FCFF

Saturday's Fight Card is Full of Talent,
Don't let These Five Fighters Slip Under Your Radar

#1 Nick Maximov of Impact JJ for the 205-pound Title
:
We haven't seen an mma fighter earn so many wins within one year like this, since Cris "Sunshine" Williams. Maximov is on a mission to get as many mma fights in before his wrestling season begins. He's gone 5-0 since June - no, that isn't a typo - he's had three wins in August alone. Four of his five wins are round one submission victories over: Michael Taylor, David Tuikolongahau, Bako Ambonisye, and Nick Davis. In his last fight on September 16th (roughly two weeks ago) he went the distance with Albert Gonzales and earned the win via the judges' decision. He'll have his first Title shot on Saturday, September 30th at Rumble @ The Roseland 94 against Aaron "Jack Smash" Lopez for the vacant 205-pound division Title.

#2 Dominick Abalos, the FCFF's Flyweight Champion:

While his competition, Keaneo Moyer has been getting most of the attention, don't think for one second that Dominick Abalos isn't the real deal. On Saturday, September 30th he's looking to make his first title defense attempt and make a statement that he owns the 125-pound division. Abalos just took the Title from Isiaah Garza via a round two triangle choke submission at Rumble 93. He's defeated six others in the pacific northwest. He's come back to PDX from Hawaii this week and he means business.

#3 Alex Aguilar for the 170-pound Title:

He's had six wins and only one loss - that loss was for the FCFF's Title back at Rumble 87. This is Alex's second chance at the belt and he's ready. Alex has had three back-to-back wins since his 2016 Title loss to Saul Gallegos Ruiz. In 2017 he's beat Sean Clemons (Midtown Throwdown 10), Angel Espino (King of the Cage: Head Strong), and Aaron Bowles (King of the Cage: Fractured). Alex will face Stefan Habib at Rumble @ Roseland 94 and possibly reach a career milestone - this Saturday!

#4 Nicky Porter at 160-pounds on the Undercard:

While his record is modest, this fighter embodies the FCFF. At Rumble 93 he exploded with emotion after his round one TKO victory over Jay Jarmoluk. In the Slammer, you witness people's lives changing and you watch athletes rise and become Champions. You see people battle the limitations of age or learn from the naivety of youth. The Slammer exposes how people handle pressure and if they can dig-in when things don't go as planned. It's not always about the 22-year old athlete with the perfect record. Sometimes, its about being surprised at what you can accomplish and taking the audience along with you on your ride of a lifetime.

#5 Santiago Brito at 125-pounds on the Undercard:

He's started his mma career in February at the Redemption 9 event and earned the win over Cody Wadleigh. Then, faced Tan Nguyen at NW Fight Challenge in March and earned the win via a round two TKO. On Saturday, September 30th he'll face Cody Westphal in the FCFF's slammer on the Rumble @ The Roseland 94 undercard. He'll see where he stacks up this Saturday, in a loaded flyweight division.
