Brew Brewster working for the submission finish in the main event

Northwest Promotions and the Academy of Brian Johnson presented NW Fight Challenge XX "Unleashed" on November 22nd 2014 in Tumwater WA, with 14 amateur MMA & Kickboxing fights going down, including 5 title fights and a superfight. A full house of fight fans and sponsors were on hand for a great night of combat action that saw it all with knockouts, submissions, and all-out battles that went the distance. A special guest appearance was made by boxing superstar Andre Ward - the WBA Super Middleweight Champion & ranked #2 pound-for-pound in the world - who sat cageside taking in the fights as well as signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

In the main event, SNRG's Brew Brewster and 6 Ft Under's Matt Juarez battled for the vacant 205 lb MMA Title. Brewster got a takedown early in the first and controlled Juarez on the ground for the rest of the round, though not doing too much damaga as Juarez defended well. In the 2nd, Juarez fired a kick to Brewster's midsection and Brewster charged forward and took Juarez to the mat. Juarez went for an armbar on the ground which Brewster was able to quickly pull out of. Brewster than went for an ankle lock submission which Juarez was able to fight off. In the third round, Brewster again got the takedown and landed some strikes on the ground. Juarez reversed position and looked to power forward to gain leverage to do some damage. However, his neck was exposed and Brewster took advantage by locking on a guillotine and persevering with the attempt, getting Juarez to eventually tap at 1:36 of the round.

Fight of the Night was the 5-round barn-burner between Mark Wittig repping Brian Johnson's Fight Team and Chris Hartman out of Elite BJJ & Warrior Strength, in an all-out battle for the NW Fight Challenge 170lb Kickboxing Title. The duo battled back and forth througout, both landing huge punches that rocked the other fighter, as well as numerous kicks. After 15 minutes of fighting, Wittig was awarded the belt via unanimous decision.

Combat Sport & Fitness fighter Caleb Padgett won the vacant NW Fight Challenge 185 lb MMA Title by taking down Michael Ellington of Team Carnage in the first round and then finishing against the cage via Short Choke at the 2:40 mark.

Combat Sport & Fitness fighter Sean Williams retained his NW Fight Challenge 125 lb MMA Belt by way of an impressive armbar submission of Justin Hugo at 46 seconds into the fight.

In a 145 lb MMA Superfight, West Coast Fight Team's Tim Lewis submitted Eatonville MMA's Eric Cronkhite with a rear naked choke at 1:00 into their fight.

The co-main event ended in an unfortunate no-contest when NW Fight Challenge 145 lb MMA Champion Talon Hammons got poked in the eye by Evolution MMA's Danny Elliott and the fight was stopped by the cageside doctor in the first round.

In undercard MMA action, Jon Marc Cortez scored a first round TKO victory over Jesse Adkins, while Rollin Smith, Skylar Thomas, and Dean Phillips all won via unanimous decision in their respective bouts.

In undercard Kickboxing action, Xavier Henderson and Alex Lind both won via 1st round TKO's in their respective bouts, while Kyle Sem and Sefo Nansen beat their opponents by decision.
