LockFlow Submission Challenge 3 - November 4th, 2006

With over 50 competitors, the third Lockflow Submission Challenge was another

great success. Independent competitors & students from several Puget Sound area

gyms were divided into 8 divisions, and grappled throughout the day.

The concept of the tournament is unique, the competitors can compete with

or without a gi. Competitors that wear a gi may use it in their submission attempts

or have it used against them, while non-gi user's clothing may not be grabbed.

No competitors chose to use a gi in this event.

Point System:
-Each match is 5 minutes in duration.
-Points are received for each submission finished.
-Submission = 3 points
-Draw = 1 point per competitor
-Competitors will compete until 9 points is reached or the time has elapsed.

-The winner of the division will be determined by most points scored.

Illegal Techniques:
-Twisting Knee Locks/ Heel Hooks are ILLEGAL at the Beginner and Junior Levels.
-Neck Cranks are ILLEGAL at the Beginner and Junior Levels.
-Spine Locks are ILLEGAL at the Beginner and Junior Levels.
-Slamming opponent from above waist is ILLEGAL AT ANY LEVEL
-Slamming on the Head or Neck is ILLEGAL AT ANY LEVEL
-Small joint manipulation is ILLEGAL AT ANY LEVEL. (Wrist locks are ok)
-ALL STRIKES ARE ILLEGAL AT ANY LEVEL
-YELLING OUT is considered a Verbal Submission and Points are awarded to opponent.
