The House of Fury returned to the Coeur D'Alene Casino and once again provided exciting live professional Boxing for fight fans with 7 action packed pro bouts.

 

 

Promoter/matchmaker for the House of Fury from its inception (and veteran of 130 plus professional fights himself) is Moe Smith and on this evening he was presented with the C.A.M. (Canada, America, and Mexico) promoter of the year by Fightnews.com correspondent Sam DiTusa.

 

 

Former WBC Heavyweight champion Pinklon Thomas was in his fighters' corner for the first bout and was on hand signing autographs during intermission and after the bouts had ended.

 

 

The next House of Fury is to take place on May 3rd.

BOUT 1 - Sean Burke def Gary Temple by TKO @ 1:20 Rd 2

The first bout featured heavyweights Sean Burke (3-0, 3 KO's, Orlando, FL), former heavyweight champ Pinklon Thomas's protege, vs. a debuting Gary Temple (Great Falls, Montana). This bout began as a tactical even match with both fighters getting in some good punches. The second round displayed a superior Sean Burke and a solid right hand that sent Temple down for the TKO at 1:20 of the second round.


BOUT 2 -
Mark Woolnough def Manny Castillo by Unanimous Decision

The second bout featured middleweights Mark Woolnough (7-5, Qualicom Beach, BC) vs. Manny Castillo (13-15-2, 5 KO's, Los Angeles, CA). This fight went the full 6 rounds but was one sided from the start with the "all business" Woolnough dominating with his speed. Castillo's experience helped in his lasting the full bout. Mark Woolnough wins 6 round unanimous decision 


BOUT 3 -
Jorge Barajas def Jesse Salway by TKO @ 2:14 Rd 4

The next bout featured Jorge Barajas (5-0, 5 KO's, Boise, Idaho) vs. Jesse Salway (2-9-1, Browning, Montana). Jesse Salway began this bout showing improvement, with some success, but was out punched falling to a left hook TKO at 2:14 of the 4th.


BOUT 4 -
Skyler Anderson def Justin Wrede by TKO Rd 2

The fourth bout brought on local favorite Skyler "Baby Boy" Anderson (8-1-1, 5KO's, Newman Lake, WA) vs. Justin Wrede (Cheyenne, WY). Justin was a late substitution for original opponent Roosevelt Parker. This bout went into the second round with Anderson dominating and ending the fight with barrages of combinations that KO'd Wrede, a regular "tough man competition" brawler.


BOUT 5 - Leo Bercier def Ija Flapping Eagle by TKO in Rd 3

Bout 5 brought on heavyweights Leo Bercier (6-5-1) vs. Ija Flapping Eagle (2-1, Boise, ID). This bout provided a real punch fest of excitement with Flapping Eagle getting the advantage and sending Bercier to a knee in the first round. The 2nd round displayed flurries of punches and brought on a vicious 3rd round where Leo Bercier turned the momentum into a wild match and TKO via the left hand to Flapping Eagle.


BOUT 6 - Darrelle Sukerow def Arthur Cruz by Unanimous Decision

On to bout 6. A semi main event, Darrelle Sukerow (14-15-1, 5 KO's, Edmonton, Alberta) vs. Arthur Cruz (21-17, Los Angeles, CA). This fight produced a good matchup that lasted the full 8 rounds. Ending in a unanimous decision, the counter punching and elusive Sukerow came out on top with this one.


Main Event - Favio Medina def Santos Pakau by Unanimous Decision

This was a battle to be expected from two such equal welterweight warriors. House of Fury favorite Favio Medina (17-1-2, 7 KO's, Sandpoint, ID) vs. Santos Pakau (27-6-1, 10 KO's, Spokane, WA). A maneuvering and speedy Pakau provided equal competition for the powerful Medina during the early rounds but suffered a knockdown during the 3rd round from a right hand. Pakau was able to rise and finish the fight. With every round the House of Fury was at a fever pitch and both fighters exchanging punch combinations. By round 12 both fighters were sporting blood flow and signs of weariness. What a battle with both combatants showing up in great shape. Favio Medina and superior power wins with the unanimous decision 119-109,119-114and 114-113 & retains his C.A.M. (Canada, America, and Mexico) title.
