Tyree Fortune and John Constien Earn Top Honors
in the FCFF’s 2013 “Fighter Hall of Fame”


Portland, OR – On Sunday, January 5, 2014 the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) has released their 2013 “Fighter Hall of Fame” award recipients. This list features the most talented amateur mixed martial artists in the region in fourteen award categories ranging from “Fighter of the Year,” to “Best Knockout,” to “Most Likable” and “2014 Fighter to Watch.” A number of these award winners are on the fight card for the FCFF’s “Rumble @ The Roseland 76” event scheduled for Saturday, January 25th. This event features five FCFF title fights and one 160-pound Superfight. More information can be found at

The 2013 FCFF “Fighter Hall of Fame” Official List:
All award winners have fought during the 2013 calendar year in either the FCFF's "Rumble @ The Roseland" or "Battle at the Mountain" event.

2013 Fighter of the Year: Tyree Fortune.
Tyree has dominated the FCFF's Heavyweight Division in 2013 with six consecutive wins in the FCFF. He's known for his post-win backflip, flying punches & knees; and was featured in the Comcast SportsNET "Alive and Caged" webisode series. 2013 recap: Rumble 75 - Win over Scott Davenport (belt), Battle at The Mountain - Win over Sam Sprauer (belt), Rumble 73 - win over Derek Harris (non title fight), Rumble 72 - win over Nathan Millsap (non title fight), Rumble 71 - win over Russell Tunes (belt), and Rumble 69 - win over Paul Sims (belt).


2013 FCFF Rookie of the Year: John Constien
New to FCFF compeition this year, this 6-0 fighter became the two-time FCFF 170-pound Champion. He first took the title at Rumble @ The Roseland 72 with a win over Michael Gonzales via a round one KO. He then defended his belt in November at the "Battle of the Mountain" event by defeating Sean Baker. John already has plans to move on to a pro career and rightfully so! We wish him the best of luck!


2013 Fastest Knockout: Nathan Bush
At Rumble @ The Roseland 74 in October Nathan Bush debuted into MMA against Robert Chun and amazed the crowd with a .04 second knockout that tied the Oregon State Record and set the FCFF record.


2013 Knockout of the Year: John Constien
The KO of the Year happened during the FCFF Welterweight Championship fight at Rumble @ The Roseland 72. John Constien's first kick produced a .06 second KO to Mike Stewart.


2013 Best Choke: Sean Gee
In the third round of action Sean Gee locked down a great rear naked choke to submit Sean McNulty at at Rumble @ The Roseland 73.


2013 Best Submission: Michael Delgado
On May 18, 2013 at Rumble @ The Roseland 71, Daniel Dieringer had Michael Delgado on the ropes and it looked like a win for Dieringer was inevitable. Next thing you know, Delgado got Dieringer down to the ground and slapped on a triangle choke late in Round #2 causing Dieringer to tapout.


2013 Best Female Fighter: Emily Corso
She was the 2012 female fighter of the year and has dominated the scene in 2013. At Rumble @ The Roseland 71 she defeated Katie Howard in a five round grudge-match and won via an armbar in the final moments. The stage was set for an epic rematch in August at Rumble 73, then the fight was postponed to Rumble @ The Roseland 74 in October. The anticipation grew and arguably, this fight became "the female fight to-watch of 2013." Emily defended her belt via a round one rear naked choke and silenced any thought that she was not the true FCFF Champion.


2013 Most Improved: Rod Jaques
Rod went from being a solid fighter to a Champion in 2013. His so-so record of 5-7-1 exploded with four consecutive wins in 2013 starting with (a February 2013) win over Christopher Nelson. He then went on a streak with three wins in the FCFF over Freddie Bailey, Daniel Pihl and Jake smith earning a FCFF Superfight and FCFF Middleweight Champion belts.


2014 Fighter to Watch: Bryan Nuro
This year Bryan became the FCFF Interim Lightweight Champion at Rumble @ The Roseland 70 and in November he became the official FCFF 155-pound Champion; with a win over Alex Branom at Battle at the Mountain. The future looks bright.


2013 Most Likable Fighter: Alex Corrales
He was the 2012 "Knock out of the Year" FCFF Hall of Fame Award Winner and in 2013 he relinquished his FCFF Championship belt and turned professional.


2013 Craziest Hair: Kyra Batara
For her Women's Junior Flyweight Championship fight against Katie Howard at Rumble @ The Roseland 69 she turned her hair magenta in preparation for battle!


NEW Awards to 2013 Hall of Fame:
2013 Best Crowd Following: Nasty Nate Sarate!
If you were at Rumble @ The Rosleand 75 you witnessed Nate Sarate's fanbase. On December 7th, he battled for three round against Howard Huang and earned the win via judge’s decision.


2013 Most Unique Use of the Cage: Scott Baker
On March 9th Scott Baker entered the cage for an entirely different reason at Rumble @ The Roseland 70. He invited his girlfriend into the slammer and asked for her hand in marriage.


2013 Best Buzzmaking Fight: Reuben Heath Vs. Cash Barnes (undercard)
The pre-fight talk on social media about this match-up spurred some of the best action on any undercard the FCFF has seen at Rumble @ The Roseland 74. The action was so intense that the crowd applauded after each round - we had a true 'fight' on our hands. This duel ended in a fantastic round three knockout by Reuben Heath over Cash Barnes. Two great fighters, one great fight!


2013 Most Unique Finish to a Fight: Robin Woods
At Rumble @ The Roseland 70, Robin Woods took home the FCFF's Women's 130-pound Superfight belt via a Knockout due to Powerbomb Slam in round two to defeat Katie Howard.
