Historic Battle at the Boat 100 set to take place this Saturday
at the Emerald Queen Casino

Press Release from Halquist Productions

Tacoma Washington (March 26, 2015) After more than 18 years of showcasing the best up and coming boxing talent the West Coast has to offer along with many televised fights including 11 world title fights, Battle at the Boat’s 100th show is set to kick off this Saturday, March 28th, live from the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, with the first contest scheduled for 7:00PM.

Headlining this historic night of fights will be the highly anticipated bout between Tacoma’s own Mike “Imagine Me” Gavronski (16-1-1 10KO’s) and Maurice Louishomme (8-1-1 4,KO’s) of Colorado Springs, Colorado in a 10-round main event. Gavronski has been on a roll as of late, winning dominant decision victories in each of his last two contests. Louishomme has made a lasting impression in his young career with a crowd pleasing style along with the courage to take on any challenger that comes his way, with his only loss coming against 2011 Gold Medalist at the World Championships, Ievgen Khytrov.

In the co-main event of the evening, Buckley, Washington’s undefeated sensation Jeremy McCleary (6-0) looks to keep his perfect professional record alive in a 5-round bout versus talented Oregonian Marcello Gallardo (4-1-2 1KO’s). McCleary is no stranger to the Battle at the Boat ring, with all of his professional contests taking place in the I-5 showroom. Gallardo poses the toughest opponent McCleary has fought to date.

Also featured on the card will be heavy-handed Toppenish, Washington native Marcelino Pineda (4-1, 4KO’s). The talented knockout artist will be looking to add another knockout victory to his record when he takes on veteran Paul Mpendo (8-12-4 4KO’s) of Portland in another 5 round bout.

From top to bottom, the Battle at the Boat 100 card is stacked with exciting fights that will make this historic evening one to remember. The 4 round undercard bouts are as follows:
Jason Davis (12-10-1, 3KO’s) vs. Daryl Gardner (2-5, 2KO’s)
Sean Gee (debut) vs. Omar Avelar (3-12, 3KO’s)
Andres Reyes (2-0) vs. Ricardo Maldonado (4-2)

Halquist Productions has also planned for a very special intermission where past Battle at the Boat stars and other contributors of the West Coast’s leading boxing promotion step into the ring one more time. Those guests include: Kenny Ellis, Emmit Linton, Tom Mustin, Stan Naccaroto, and many more!
