Absolute Chaos Promotions packed the house at Olson Auditorium on the PLU campus in Tacoma on March 14th, holding their 9th amateur fight night with 13 Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA bouts taking place in the Absolute Chaos ring. In the main event, Base Fitmass MMA's Ryan Schecterson and Independent fighter Chico Sosa threw down for the Absolute Chaos 155 lb MMA Title. Schecterson had the edge in this solid standup match, with Sosa attempting late takedowns to try and win the round. Schecterson though defended the majority of them, even landing one of his own late in the 4th to steal the round. After 5 rounds of action, Schecterson was declared the unanimous winner. Afterwards, Schecterson - a veteran of 23 amateur bouts - announced that he would be turning pro with his next fight.

The Legion's Sergio Ulloa and SNRG's Charlando Peoples went to battle for the Absolute Chaos 170 lb MMA Title belt. In the first, the pair circled and traded punches and kicks, before a big shot from Ulloa dropped Peoples. Ulloa moved and and punished People with some big bombs from mount, but Peoples was able to weather the storm to the round's end. In the 2nd, Peoples tried for a takedown on Ulloa but Ulloa sprawled well and pushed Peoples up against the ropes in the corner. Ulloa went for a takedown and Peoples ankle got severely twisted in the attempt, with Peoples immediately verbally tapping. The win and the belt goes to Ulloa via 2nd round verbal submission.

A 130 lb MMA catchweight Title belt was up for grabs between The Legion's Luis Gomez and Independent fighter Rolland Wimberly. The first two rounds saw some good standup exchanges before Gomez shot in and took drove Wimberly into the corner. Both rounds, he was able to get the takedown and worked Wimberly on the ground. In the third, Gomez again worked hard for the takedown, but Wimberly did well to defend the attempt and it was Gomez who went to the canvas first, with Wimberly moving down and taking his back. Wimberly threw some strikes to the head and then sunk a rear naked choke, but wasn't able to gain the leverage he needed to finish as the two were under the ropes and nearly out of the ring. Gomez escaped the choke and finished out the round on top throwing strikes. The final two rounds were all Gomez who got early takedowns each round and controlled on the ground, finishing the fight on Wimberly's back and throwing big bombs. Gomez was rightfully given the judges nod for the unanimous decision win and the belt.
