On Friday January 13th, ACB (Absolute Championship Berkut) - Europe’s leading MMA promotion - will hold their first ever event in the United States with ACB 51 in Southern California. The high-profile, 13-bout card is stacked with talent from around the world, including 3 of the NW’s top fighters.

In the main event, Moses Lake WA’s Jared Torgeson will take on former UFC fighter - the infamous Thiago Silva - for the vacant ACB Light Heavyweight Title. Torgeson has been fighting professionally since 2009, with 32 pro fights to his name and has taken on the toughest of the tough on the NW circuit. His recent wins in 2016 over KOTC Champion Tony Lopez and CageSport MMA Champion Brent Knopp helped set up the contest with Silva.

In a pro lightweight contest, Portland OR’s Pat “Bam Bam” Healy - a veteran of upwards of 60 pro fights since 2001 - will battle UFC veteran Leandro Silva of Brazil. Healy has competed against a who’s who of top fighters in numerous promotions, including the UFC, Strikeforce, and most recently Titan FC.

Another pro lightweight matchup features “Insane” Dave Courchaine of Spokane WA going up against Brazilian Arthur Estrazulas. The hard-hitting Courchaine is definitely a finisher with only 2 of his 20 pro wins going to decision, and comes into the contest a winner of his last five fights, 4 by knockout. Expect fireworks!

ACB will go down Friday January 13th 2017 at the Bren Events Center in Irvine CA. Doors open at 6 PM, first fight at 7 PM PT. The event will stream live, for free on
Youtube. More info at acbmma.com and facebook.com/acberkut.
